Thankful List for January 2017

Thankful List for January:
-big changes in our adoption process in December and January- they deserve way more than a sentence explanation so a blog post is coming 
​-meeting the Bachman family
-a 5th birthday for our sweet Aida and the very unexpected way we got to celebrate it
-"Behold, I am doing a new thing." Isaiah 43:19

And a few random things that have nothing to do with adoption:
-lots of Go Fish, Slap Jack, and Speed playing
-packages- so many fun things we got in the mail this month
​-hot chocolate

-Friday lunch dates with Ben... one of my favorite times of the week
-a little girl reading everywhere she goes

-a little boy working constantly on a power point presentation for a school project
-lunch with Krista and Stacy
-brunch with Jeanna

-boys getting to watch Magnus play basektball
-reading All the Pretty Things by Edie Wadsworth
-good news at the cardiologist for Libby
-catching up with Meredith
-dinner with the Weavers and Sharps in our home
-dinner at the Doleys
-pizza and a movie at the Welch's house
-Family Dedication planned and completed with lots of amazing help

-missing out on my dad's retirement reception (the celebration of a man who dedicated his entire adult life to building the kingdom)... but thrilled that Facebook and updates from my siblings allowed me to see the love that was poured out on him from afar. I am so proud of him.
-missing out on the birth of our new niece... but thankful we live in the age of instant pictures by text message and the gift that is FaceTime! Welcome to the world, beautiful Abby... we are so glad you are here and cannot wait to meet you! You have some great parents!
