Thankful list for October
-our monthly report on Aida... its not much but its the only little connection we have with her
-"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the weak" -Jeremaih 31:25
-the Whitfield's shared their adoption news... so excited to watch and pray for their journey!!!
-conversations on orphan care with Emily Moore... so encouraged by her heart

And a few random things that have nothing to do with adoption:

-My mom came to visit!!
-Libby entertaining an entire post office
-Kinslie, Deborah, and Kasi helping with our kids
-Tuck who tells us that a person is not old until they reach 60 told me "Mom you have 4 more touch downs until you turn old" (at least his sports obsession is helping with his math skills)
-Mom's help with getting lots of sewing done
-Orr Family Farm with friends
-Libby's hurt leg was only a sprained knee

Picture
-time with Kallan and baby Kade
-Emma Kate and Michael didn't sink in their cardboard boat (and the awesome job Jourdan and Caine did building it)

-the bittersweet joy of sorting through all of Tuck's old things and being able to pass them on
-Thursday lunches with Vicki and reading the Mission Minded Family together
-watching international students carve pumpkins for the first itme
-chili and pumpkin carving with the Sharps
-Libby's continued love for the moon

Picture
-our first parent/teacher conference and a great first report card (and parent/teacher conferences meant Tuck got out of school early 2 days in a row!)

I share with you The agony of your grief, The anguish of your heart finds echo in my own. I know I cannot enter all you feel Nor bear with you the burden of your pain; I can but offer what my love does give: The strength of caring, The warmth of one who seeks to understand , This do I in quiet ways, and know that on this path that may seem lonely, you know you may not walk alone- for God and those who love you greatly feel this with you.

We are a family of five (Ben, Beth, Tucker, Libby, and Zane). We started this blog during our 7 year journey to bring home a child through adoption. This is our story of how God is faithful in the good, the bad, and all the in between.
